Dr. Andrew Collyer is a seasoned entrepreneur, business leader, and governance expert with over four decades of experience in founding, scaling, and advising businesses globally. Throughout his career, he has built a reputation as a strategic thinker, investor, mentor, and Non-Executive Director (NED), with deep expertise in leadership, governance, and enterprise growth. Recognised for his contributions to leadership and management, Dr. Collyer was awarded a Professional Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Management, a milestone that further inspired his pursuit of a Master of Science degree in Global Management. This academic achievement reignited his passion for higher education, where he now contributes as an expert advisor, examiner, and lecturer in Enterprise Management and Entrepreneurship. Over the years, Dr. Collyer has successfully founded and scaled eleven businesses, both independently and in collaboration with exceptional business associates, across multiple industries and international markets. His professional journey has taken him across the UK, Germany, and New Zealand, while his advisory work has extended to clients in Canada, Australia, and the USA. His entrepreneurial journey began in the mid-1980s with his first venture, leading him into the marketing and sales sector, particularly within Financial Services. By the late 1990s, he played a key role in a £100 million management buy-in, which broadened his executive leadership experience and honed his skills at the c-suite level. Dr. Collyer is a Fellow of the Chartered Management Institute, the Royal Society of Arts, Commerce and Manufacture, and the Institute of Leadership and Management. He is also an Associate Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Management and a Member of the Institute of Directors. With a wealth of experience in business growth and transformation, he has provided expert guidance to over 550 small to medium-sized enterprises worldwide, accumulating more than 22,000 hours of consulting and mentorship. Following a recent interim CEO role, Dr. Collyer now serves as the Lead Consultant at Collyer & Co, a specialist advisory practice based in London. Beyond his business ventures, he is committed to public service as a Justice of the Peace and Magistrate in the Birmingham and Solihull Crime Court, as well as a Presiding Justice in the Birmingham and Solihull Family Court. Dr. Collyer is also dedicated to entrepreneurial development, serving as a mentor with Virgin StartUp and delivering guest lectures on entrepreneurship at business schools across London and the West Midlands. His long-standing commitment to education includes over a decade as a school governor and chair, currently contributing to a board in Brighton.
